Sleight of Hand - The Pinch Drop

A simple yet useful technique to vanish objects. The Pinch Drop utilizes any object (in this video a coin is used) placed first in one hand. The object is secretly dropped with a small release of pressure under the cover of the other hand. Though the other hand is there to cover the drop, in the eyes of the audience it should appear to grab what was the object but is now thin air. Proceed to do any fancy show you wish with the "object-holding" hand while you discard/reappear the object with the other. If you're just starting out with sleights, get to know them all! They're insanely useful and need no prep whatsoever. David Copperfield is said to have once used sleights to fool a mugger into thinking he had nothing in his pockets, when indeed he was carrying a wallet, cell phone, and wallet in what he calls reverse pickpocketing.
