Lennart Green's "The Beam Deal"

5

Don't let the dated video fool you: this is a stunning move in Lennart Green's repertoire of close-up magic. The Beam Deal was also featured during his TED performance. Watching Green perform is like watching a master of Drunken Kung Fu: clumsy, yet precise and logical in thought yet so mind-boggling in practice. Now that's magic.

Clever Pin Tricks

5

With clever performance and witty delivery this college student shows us his skills with stationary pins. At first, two pins are dropped into the victim's hand and appear suddenly attached. The victim appears unconvinced, and so the magician continues to magically detach and reattach the pins in plain view and at different speeds. Yet he was still unconvinced.

Another audience member selects another random card. Mark proceeds to use "mentalism" to read the random card without looking at it and then draw it on a card.

The Missing Corner Cube

4

Created by Michael Bach, this cube presents itself first as an object with a missing corner. There are two more interpretations: "daughter cube" and "room corner". To realize the daughter cube, stare at it long enough to see that the gray zones are actually one cube attached to the larger cube.

Russian Roulette - Nail Gun Edition

5

This is one of the BEST iterations of the Nail Game I have seen yet! The Nail Game is traditionally done with six paper bags that have one nail hidden within. The magician then proceeds to crush each bag with a fist, leaving one - the bag containing the nail. In this iteration, six NAIL GUNS are used - one of which is loaded.

Wallpaper Fridays - "Infinite Escher"

4

How many users out there still have this old black MacBook? If you're one of them, set this as your wallpaper now. Find the full size image here. I really like this one because here is one user who apparently doesn't shy away from using his MacBook roughly. Though Escher's works may be found in museums, this Macbook certainly won't.

Contact Juggling

5

Contact Juggling is the art of juggling a ball without releasing it into the air so that it looks as if it's floating in the air. It takes years of practice to perform it flawlessly. Fortunately, this man has done that work for us:
